FAQ - RV Insurance
Is my RV covered by my home owner's insurance?
Probably not. The vast majority of motorized vehicles, including RVs, are not covered for liability or physical damage under homeowners policies. However, your RV can be covered by a seperate policy and can be included in n overall umbrella policy.
Is RV insurance expensive?
No. In fact, if you add the policy to an existing automobile insurance package you'll receive a discounted rate, so long as the RV is utilized for personal use.
We take long trips in our RV. Are our personal valuables onboard covered in case of theft or damage?
Not unless the items are permanantly installed and considered an actual part of the RV, such as the stereo system. However, most home owner's insurace policies provide world wide coverage for most separate valuables and possessions. For this reason it's important to be familiar with the limits of your coverage, especially in regards to items such as jewelry.
